Contactor AC seriei RDC5 imprimis designatus est circuitibus AC frequentiae 50Hz vel 60Hz, cum tensione nominali maxima 690V et currente nominali maxima 95A. Adhibetur ad circuitus remote accendendos et extinguendos, et etiam directe cum releo thermico integrari potest ad initiatorem electromagneticum formandum, quod circuitus ad operationes onerationis obnoxios protegendos servit. Praeterea, contactor accessionibus, inter quas coetus contactuum auxiliarium typi blocci, contactus morae aeris, mechanismus interclusionis mechanicae, etc., instrueri potest ad contactorem morae, contactorem directionalem, et initiatorem stella-triangolo coniungendum.
